Owen Turns 3!

Last Tuesday, was Owen's third birthday. He chose to go to Chic-fil-A to celebrate....

And because his birthday is so close to the Fourth of July, we always have a hard time planning a party. We ended up having it on Sunday. He wanted a baseball party at the pool...and that's exactly what we did. Thanks to Duane and Suzanne for allowing us to crash their pool. Everyone had a great time eating hot dogs, peanuts, chips, and of course cake and ice cream. Here are a few pics from the party.....

Owen's 1st Birthday

Owen turned 1 on Sunday. Wow! Time sure does fly! We celebrated with a clown party, last weekend! Both sets of grandparents, the Boykin's, the Davis', Abby and Jeremy and Aunt Susan were all there. We had a really good time...the best part was watching Owen eat his cake. Yesterday on his actual birthday, we had cake again and we gave him a few presents. He is such a sweet baby, always happy and ready to go with the flow. We are so blessed and thank God everyday for him!

Li'l O

Owen is now eight weeks old. Time is flying by so fast. It seems like just the other day we were coming home from the hospital with him. He is growing like a weed and is really a happy baby....most of the time. He doesn't go back to the pediatrician until Sept. 26th, but I think he weighs close to 10 lbs., now. He is a pretty good sleeper, too. He seems to be doing better taking naps during the day, and sometimes will sleep for four hours at a time during the night. Tim has been a huge help. A few weeks ago, he agreed to get Owen from his bed and bring him to me to nurse, and then I take him back to bed. This arrangement is working out great. I am finding it really hard around the 4 am feeding to return him to his bed, though. It is so much easier to just lay him down beside me. We both sleep really well during that time. I keep telling myself that since I won't be having any more children, I'm going to enjoy every last bit of this baby stage....and I have. Here are a few pics of "Li'l O" as we like to call him.

Owen Bennett Dreyfus

Owen was born Friday night at 8:38 pm. He weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. and is 18 inches long. We are now at home and doing great. He is a sweet, tiny little thing and we feel truly blessed. The biggest challenge right now is finding clothes to fit him. Every gown, sleeper, etc. swallows him whole. I am sure that will change quickly. Here are a few pics from the weekend. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

The Big Day is Almost Here

Well, it has been forever since I have posted. Things have been so busy around here...taking care of children, a husband and maintaining a household, not to mention being 9 months pregnant, can really take its toll.

The summer is about halfway over and we still have some exciting things to look forward to. My original due date is July 19th, but I will be induced on Friday, July 6th. Yes, that's right, this Friday! I am so ready, but I have a long "to do" list for this week. The nursery is 95% finished, the carseat and base are in the car, we have a good supply of diapers and wipes on hand...so I guess the necessities are taken care of. It's the little things: shelf and valance to hang in the nursery, clean house from top to bottom (dreading this one), buy a few birthday gifts that are coming up, etc. Riley and Walker are so excited (Riley says she's only a "little excited" because we are not having a girl). I am sure she will get over that when Owen arrives. Pray for us on Friday and I promise to update soon with pictures.

21 Weeks and Counting!

I am now in my 21st week of pregnancy and everything is going great. We went yesterday for an ultrasound and to find out the gender of the baby. It looks like we will be having another little boy in July. He looks great and seems to be developing on cue. The ultrasound tech had a hard time getting him to cooperate for pictures. He was hiding his face most of the time, but did have his behind in the air long enough for a "between the legs" shot. Hilarious! Riley and Walker are very excited about "little brother". However, I must say Riley was a tad disappointed when she found out the baby wasn't a girl. We have decided on a name: Owen Bennett and we will call him "Owen". We are very excited and can't wait for the new addition!
