Crazy Pajama Night

Saturday nights at the Dreyfus house is "Crazy Pajama Night". We let Riley and Walker wear whatever they want to bed on those nights. Riley likes to dress herself and surprise us with her ensemble. We started doing this a few months ago and now the kids look forward to it all week (plus, it gives us something extra to take away for punishment...it's always nice to have something like that on hand). We got the idea from some friends of ours (shout out to the Ramsey's). At their house on Friday nights, they let their four children (ages 15, 12, 9, & 7) sleep anywhere (sofa in the den, in the playroom, in the coveted leather recliner...anywhere they want, as long as someone else hasn't claimed it). They call it "Sleep Anywhere Night". We loved the idea, but it wasn't very practical right now with a four-year old and a two-year old...maybe in a few years. So we started our own version. It makes getting ready for bed on Saturday nights a little more fun and exciting. Just thought I would share one of our family traditions.

I think that is such a great idea! I would have to make the rule of CLEAN crazy pajamas. If Evan had his way, he would wear what he wore all day. Yuck!

Fabulous idea! When Nora gets big enough we will definitely be doing that. By the way, thanks for your comment on my latest post. I'm adding you to my list of bloggers :). Dallas Henderson

That is such a great idea! I don't have kiddos yet, but I'm going to have to write this idea down for later!
